Features

Everything between paychecks, handled

Built around pay periods — weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, or monthly — because that's how your money actually arrives.

💵

Safe to Spend

One number that matters: what's left after every bill and goal between now and your next paycheck is covered.

📅

Bill tracking & payday checklist

Every bill mapped to the paycheck that pays it, with on-device reminders and a checklist that resets each payday.

📄

PDF statement import

Upload a bank statement once and Payd detects your recurring bills — parsed entirely on your phone, never transmitted.

📈

Portfolio & net worth

Track holdings and net worth. Pre-fill positions from a brokerage screenshot using on-device text recognition — the image never leaves your phone.

🎯

Savings goals & emergency fund

Set goals, schedule contributions per paycheck, and watch your emergency fund grow on a timeline you control.

🧮

Investment calculator

Project growth with your own assumptions — or opt in to base returns on your holdings' actual 5-year performance.

📊

Cashflow chart

See your balance projected across upcoming pay periods, so a tight week never sneaks up on you.

🤝

Partner Sync

Share a budget snapshot with your partner through any app you already trust — Messages, AirDrop, email. No server in the middle.

🌒

OLED dark mode

A true-black theme that's easy on your eyes and your battery, plus home screen widgets for your safe-to-spend at a glance.

Privacy

There's no Payd database to breach — because there is no Payd database

  • No bank login, ever. No Plaid, no aggregator, no credentials handed to a third party you didn't choose.
  • No server, no account, no login. Everything you enter stays in your phone's local storage.
  • No analytics or tracking SDKs. Verified against the app's full dependency list. No Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Sentry. An optional rewarded-ad feature is planned — it will be disclosed by name in the white paper before it ever ships.
  • Works fully offline. Airplane mode changes nothing. Reminders are scheduled by your own device.
  • Encrypted backups, one-tap erase. Optional AES-256 backup with a passcode only you know, and a reset that clears everything — not a partial list.

Exactly what leaves your device

The complete list. Not a summary — the whole thing.
1

A stock ticker symbol (like "AAPL") — only if you add a holding, only to fetch a price.

2

An anonymous purchase event — only if you subscribe, sent to RevenueCat with a random ID. Never your name, email, or data.

3

Nothing else. Bills, balances, goals, statements, screenshots, and notifications never touch the network.

Zero analytics events. Zero crash reports. Zero ad requests today — an optional rewarded-ad feature is planned, and the ad network will be named in the white paper before any version that includes it ships. Every claim is verified against source.
The difference

A structural difference, not a policy promise

Bank-linked apps ask you to trust their policies. Payd's privacy is a matter of architecture — there's nothing to leak.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

Does Payd connect to my bank?
No. There's no bank login and no account aggregator. You enter your pay schedule and bills yourself, or import them once from a bank statement PDF — parsed on your device, never transmitted anywhere.
Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device, in standard local app storage. Payd has no server, so there's no remote database holding your financial information.
Does Payd sell or share my data?
There's nothing to sell — Payd never receives your financial data in the first place. The only things that ever leave your device are a stock ticker (if you use the Portfolio tab) and an anonymous purchase event (if you subscribe).
If there's no cloud, how do I move to a new phone?
Export a backup file and save it wherever you choose — iCloud Drive, your file system, anywhere. Optionally protect it with a passcode using real AES-256 encryption. Restore it on the new device with one tap.
How does the screenshot import work?
Pick a screenshot of your brokerage positions, and on-device text recognition (Google ML Kit's bundled model) pre-fills your holdings. The image is read locally, shown for your review, and deleted the instant scanning finishes — it never touches the network.
Can I delete everything?
Yes — one tap erases every category of data Payd stores, verified as a complete clear of local storage, not a partial list. Payd then helps you remove the app itself.
What's the honest limitation?
Day-to-day local storage relies on your phone's own lock-screen protection (like Notes or Reminders), and a Partner Sync snapshot's privacy depends on the messaging channel you send it through. Both are documented plainly, with no hedging, in the full white paper.
